Hi, I'm Kristan!
I'm a Chicago-based photographer, Emmy winning filmmaker, and cheeseburger enthusiast. I've been taking photos for most of my life and making videos for the last 10 years. I’m technically trained as an artist and a journalist: I have an MA in Journalism from the University of Missouri and a BA in photography from Columbia College Chicago.
Telling visual stories with nuance and empathy is my passion. I'm always learning new and better ways to do that effectively. I feel so honored that people let me and my camera into their lives and homes, whether it’s for a quick portrait session or a week long road trip. I produce, shoot, edit, and everything in-between. I love to travel and would very much like to meet your dog.
